The UCH Shoulder & Elbow Fellowship is a clinicallybased post and is intended to give candidates hands on experience and a wide exposure to current techniques in Shoulder and Elbow surgery. Fellows are trained in the management and treatment of all shoulder and elbow disorders, including rotator cuff disease, shoulder instability, shoulder and elbow arthritis, elbow fractures and instability and are exposed to the latest techniques of shoulder and elbow arthroscopy, open surgery and arthroplasty.

The Fellow will be working alongside Mr Carlos Cobiella, who collaborates closely with musculoskeletal radiologists, anaesthetists and physiotherapists.

The Fellow will have the opportunity to carry out basic science and clinical research and will be expected to present and publish this work as appropriate.

The candidate must be medically qualified, ideally with higher qualifications in Orthopaedic surgery or nearing completion of specialist training and have obtained full registration with the General Medical Council of the United Kingdom.

The post has been approved for subspecialty training by the SAC for previous Fellows and is fully funded with no on-call commitment.
